About mado

mado turns a screen recording of anything — a web app, a mobile app, desktop software, a terminal — into an interactive click-through demo that renders correctly on every screen size, shareable by link, embeddable anywhere, and measurable.

Most interactive-demo tools capture a browser DOM. That works until the product you want to show isn't a website: a native mobile app, a desktop tool, a terminal, an IDE. We capture the screen instead, which means we can demo anything that renders on a screen — and the hard part we build for is making that recording feel correct on a phone, not just "responsive-ish."

We aren't building a moat. We win on execution, honest pricing, shipping speed, and a demo embed that compounds every time someone tries a product through it. No credits, no usage meters, anywhere in the product — that's not a marketing line, it's a constraint on the codebase.

mado is Japanese for “window”. A demo is a window into a product: a real moment of it, kept intact and passed around. The mark is three stacked windows — olive, gold, rust — one per step, and a published version stays exactly as it was published — versions are immutable.

We're an EU company, EU-hosted, and GDPR-native. The exceptions are both optional: AI assist and Voice & music, off until you turn them on, use Anthropic and ElevenLabs in the US respectively. We don't claim more than that until formal data residency is a product, not a promise — see our subprocessor list.
